I am a twenty something year old who has spent the majority of her teens and early twenties dreaming about the future. When I was in high school I dreamed of travelling the world. I went on to college and followed what society expected of me. By this time, I was honestly bored with education and I needed something more. I felt like a bird trapped in a cage , I know it is a cliche, but I was destined to fly…
…and that is what I did. I was lucky enough to meet my partner, Alex in 2013 and then in 2015, we left for the trip of a lifetime.
The funny thing about travelling is that it doesn’t stop you dreaming, it makes you dream more. It opens your eyes, it educates you, it moulds you into a completely different person.
Here I am, 2020, 4 and a half years since we left for our adventure and I’m back in the UK. I’m working full time in a law firm whilst studying law. A little different from our lives just 9 months ago.
I still feel the ocean breeze through my hair, the sun kissing my skin and the sand between my toes. I see Alex ahead of me, dipping his toes in the warm ocean, smiling, happy.
I have all these memories, all these stories and all these experiences. I want to share them with you. I want you to be inspired to experience this magical world we call home. Life really is a beautiful thing and you can make all your dreams come true, you just have to do it.
This blog is going to be written from my perspective. It is centred around our new and old travel experiences, the delicious cups of coffees we have along the way and the delightful independent cafés that serve them.
My hope is to inspire others, relive my wonderful memories and drink lots of luscious coffee in the process.
If you have any questions along this journey, reach out, I’d love to hear from you, inspire and guide you.
